"New" because it follows the pioneering path blazed more than 20 years ago by the original Eclectic Lapidary online magazine under founder and editor Carol Bova, (and indeed with her encouragement and approval). The New Eclectic Lapidary which you now see continues with the same full spectrum view of everything and anything related to the lapidary arts and the love of stone.
You'll find photo-stories on gemstones, on lapidary techniques, different stones, their provenance and peculiarities, lapidary history, trips to collecting areas, discussion of tools and machines, first-person features with lapidary artists, how-to instruction for stone cutting (and also jewellery making), the business side of lapidary and more.
